Regarding Interim Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure to Implement the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005

The United States Judicial Conference (“Conference”), acting through its Committee on Rules of Practice and Procedure and its Executive Committee, has approved certain Interim Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure for use in the implementation of the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005 until final federal rules are promulgated and effective under the regular Rules Enabling Act process. In the interim, it is possible that the Conference may approve other interim rules and amendments to interim rules.
It is therefore ORDERED that:
(1) Effective October 17, 2005 Interim Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure and any amendments thereto, that have been or may be approved by the Conference as indicated above, shall apply in the Southern District of Iowa until final federal rules are promulgated and effective.
(2) The Clerk of Court shall post and maintain current and relevant materials related to the interim federal rules on the Court’s Web site found at www.iasb.uscourts.gov.
